Shark Cards buy GTA$ for GTA Online only; the story mode has its own economy. For what GTA Online is today, read the GTA Online guide.

01Step one

Console Card or PC Card?

Rockstar sells the same card with two amounts. On PlayStation and Xbox the Great White Shark Card carries 1,500,000 GTA$, the bonus amount introduced with the PS4 and Xbox One versions. On PC it carries 1,250,000 GTA$, the original amount. A code only works on the platform it was issued for, so the choice is made by where you play, and the table below gives the price of each.

A code

A code you redeem on your own Rockstar, Microsoft or PlayStation account; the GTA$ land on your GTA Online character within minutes. Codes are bound to a platform and a region.

GTA$ are not transferable

A PC code never credits a console account, and PlayStation and Xbox codes do not cross over. Buying the wrong platform is the most common way to lose money on a card.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much GTA$ is in the Great White Shark Card?
1,500,000 GTA$ on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and 1,250,000 GTA$ on PC. The console amount is the bonus amount Rockstar introduced with the 2014 versions; the PC card kept the original amount.
How much does the Great White Shark Card cost?
The PlayStation Store lists the PS5 card at 14.99 EUR. Codes cost less: 12.99 EUR on Xbox Series X|S and 12.99 EUR on Xbox One at Instant Gaming, the two platforms in stock on 28 September 2026. The PC code is listed at 12.89 EUR and the PlayStation code at 11.99 EUR, but both are out of stock at the seller. The lowest code you can actually buy today is 11.77 EUR at Eneba on PC.
Does a PC code work on console?
No. A Shark Card code is bound to the platform it was issued for: Rockstar Games Launcher codes credit PC accounts only, Microsoft Store codes Xbox accounts, PlayStation Store codes PlayStation accounts. Region matters too: a Europe code needs a European account.
Is a bigger card better value?
Yes, per million: the Megalodon is listed at 42.93 EUR for 8,000,000 GTA$ on PC at Instant Gaming, about 5.37 EUR per million, while the Tiger is listed at 3.25 EUR for 200,000 GTA$, about 16.25 EUR per million. The Great White Shark Card sits at 10.31 EUR per million on PC and 8.66 EUR per million on Xbox Series X|S.
Is buying a Shark Card code from a reseller safe?
The code is redeemed on the official store of your platform and the GTA$ arrive through Rockstar's normal delivery, so the risk is the region and the platform printed on the listing, not the game account. Instant Gaming states both on every card page; some Kinguin listings do not, which is why they are flagged.
What players say on the stores

Ratings published by each store and read on 28 September 2026; the stars put each score on a five-star scale. They are those stores’ figures, not GTAside reviews, and they rate the game itself, not the key.
