GTA 6 Trailers: Every Official Video So Far

Rockstar has released three GTA 6 videos: Trailer 1 on 4 December 2023, Trailer 2 on 6 May 2025 and Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, 26 minutes of gameplay captured on PlayStation 5, on 27 August 2026. Nothing called Trailer 3 has been announced: the Extended Look is the third official video, and the next date on the calendar is the release itself, on 19 November 2026.

Every Official GTA 6 Video

Trailer 1: The Reveal, December 2023

Rockstar planned the first trailer for 5 December 2023 and put it out on the evening of 4 December, after it leaked. It set the scene in Vice City, in a modern state of Leonida modelled on Florida, introduced Lucia and gave a 2025 release, a date that later moved twice. YouTube counted more than 93 million views in its first 24 hours, a record for a video launch on the platform at the time, reported by Variety. The song is Tom Petty's Love Is a Long Road, from 1989.

Trailer 2: Jason and Lucia, May 2025

The second trailer arrived on 6 May 2025, four days after Rockstar moved the release to 26 May 2026. It put Jason and Lucia side by side and showed far more of the state. Rockstar counted 475 million views across platforms in 24 hours, a figure reported by TechRadar and Game Rant; it covers every platform, not YouTube alone. Its song is Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters, from 1986.

An Extended Look: 26 Minutes of Gameplay, August 2026

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premiered on Netflix on 27 August 2026 at 3 pm Eastern, and Rockstar put it on its YouTube channel and the GTA VI site the same day at 9 pm Eastern. Rockstar says it was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. It is the longest look at the game so far, and the source of several details on our other pages: the weapon names read on screen in our GTA 6 weapons list, what it showed of Leonida on our GTA 6 map, and the systems reported on our story page.

Is There a GTA 6 Trailer 3?

Not under that name. Before the summer, much of the press expected a Trailer 3 around the opening of pre-orders on 25 June 2026. What Rockstar released next was the Extended Look, on 27 August, and most coverage now treats it as the third video. On 15 September 2026, Rockstar has announced no further trailer before launch.
