GTA IV Tips, Cheat Codes & Guides
GTA IV does things differently from every other game in the series: its cheats are phone numbers, its story has two endings, and its biggest collectible hunt is 200 pigeons. Here is what each tips page covers, and where to start.
Cheats You Dial
There are no typed words and no button sequences in GTA IV. Every cheat is a number you dial on Niko's phone, so the same numbers work on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. 482-555-0100 gives health, armour, ammunition and the full arsenal in one call. The cheat codes page lists all 32, including the ones that only work in The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

The Choice That Decides the Ending
Late in the story, the mission One Last Thing asks Niko to choose between a deal with Dimitri Rascalov and revenge on him. Take the deal and Roman dies at his wedding; choose revenge and Kate dies instead. Our endings guide follows both paths mission by mission and explains which one to play first.
Pigeons, Secrets and Mods
Liberty City hides 200 pigeons. Shoot every one and an Annihilator helicopter appears on the roof of the MeTV building in Star Junction, with the Endangered Species achievement; there is no reward before the 200th. The pigeons page gives every location, island by island.
The game's most famous secret is a beating heart chained inside the Statue of Happiness, behind a door marked No Hidden Content This Way; the easter eggs page has 23 more. And on PC, the mods guide explains how to set up the Complete Edition, starting with FusionFix.
