★ Our verdict

The Standard Edition is the one that makes sense. It is the full game, and the Ultimate only adds cosmetics. The cheapest real key we track is Eneba’s PS5 pre-order key at 66.99 €, checked on 28 September 2026; Instant Gaming, our affiliate, has not opened pre-orders.

Which Edition Should You Buy?

Rockstar sells two editions. The Standard is the complete game. The Ultimate is the same game plus sixteen single-player extras listed by Rockstar: vehicles, two revolvers, outfits, five exclusive shops and two side activities. None of it changes the story or unlocks anything you could not otherwise reach, and no GTA Online content has been announced for either edition. Both get the same Vintage Vice City Pack on pre-order, so the choice is only about the extras. Everything below comes from Rockstar’s own editions page and the PlayStation Store listing; for the game itself, read everything we know about GTA 6.

What you get Digital, or code in box

Grand Theft Auto VI, the complete story of Jason and Lucia
GTA Online, when it launches
Vintage Vice City Pack with any pre-order before 20 November
What is in the pack
- ’55 Vapid Stanier, and the Shore Court Garage near Ocean Beach to keep it in
- Vice City-inspired outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia
- A tropical weapon pattern that nods to Tommy Vercetti’s shirt
- One month of GTA+ on digital pre-orders, pre-load from 12 November
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Enough for almost everyone. The physical box ships a download code, not a disc, so a key is the same thing without the box.

Where to Buy It, and for How Much

Instant Gaming, our affiliate, has not opened pre-orders on either console yet, so the cheapest real key today is Eneba’s: 66.99 € on PS5 and 67.48 € on Xbox. The Xbox Store takes pre-orders at 79.99 €. Kinguin shows lower numbers, but it sells accounts, not keys. Every price below links to the exact product page, and the last column says what you actually receive.

PC and Switch 2 are not in this table on purpose. Instant Gaming lists a page for each, but Rockstar has dated neither, so there is nothing real to compare yet. Prices and pre-order status checked on 28 September 2026.

A key

A code you redeem on your own PlayStation or Microsoft account. The game sits in your library for good, with trophies, saves and GTA Online under your name. Check the region: a Europe key needs a European account.

An account

The login details of a third-party account that owns the game. You play through it rather than owning it, the seller keeps the recovery email, and PlayStation Network’s terms prohibit buying or transferring accounts. Cheap for a reason.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does GTA 6 cost?

Rockstar’s official price is 79.99 EUR for the Standard Edition and 99.99 EUR for the Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation and Xbox stores, or 79.99 and 99.99 USD in the United States. Key resellers go lower: the cheapest Standard key you can buy is 66.99 EUR at Eneba on PS5, checked on 28 September 2026; Instant Gaming has not opened pre-orders.

Can you pre-order GTA 6 right now?

Yes, on the official stores: pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Among the key resellers we compare, Instant Gaming still shows both editions as out of stock and offers an email alert instead, while Eneba and Kinguin already list pre-order keys and accounts.

What is the difference between the Standard and Ultimate editions?

The Standard Edition is the complete game. The Ultimate Edition adds sixteen single-player extras listed by Rockstar: vehicles such as the ’95 Grotti Cheetah and the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, exclusive outfits, five extra shops and the Classic Car Collection commission. Nothing in it changes the story, and the Ultimate Edition is sold as a download only.

What do you get for pre-ordering GTA 6?

Every pre-order gets the Vintage Vice City Pack: a ’55 Vapid Stanier, the Shore Court Garage near Ocean Beach, Vice City-inspired outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a tropical weapon pattern. Digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+, and pre-loading starts on 12 November 2026.

Is buying a GTA 6 key from a reseller safe?

A key is redeemed on the PlayStation or Microsoft store and the game lands in your own library, so the main thing to check is the region: buy a Europe key if your account is European. Instant Gaming also refunds the difference if its price drops before release.

Why is Kinguin cheaper than everyone else on PS5?

Because its 66.60 EUR listing is an account, not a key. You log into a third-party account that owns the game instead of owning it on yours, the seller keeps the recovery email, and PlayStation Network’s terms prohibit buying or transferring accounts.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Rockstar has announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the 19 November 2026 launch and has not dated a PC version. Instant Gaming lists a PC page, as it does a Switch 2 page, but neither carries a Rockstar release date. GTA IV, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 all reached PC months after consoles.
