Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6. The game comes out on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only, with no PC date, no Steam page and no official system requirements. Rockstar's last three big releases all reached PC later: GTA IV after 7 months, Red Dead Redemption 2 after a year and ten days, GTA V after 19 months.
Not at launch. Rockstar lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the pre-orders that opened on 25 June 2026 cover those two platforms only. Take-Two's chief executive, Strauss Zelnick, told Bloomberg in an interview published on 5 May 2026 that "Rockstar always starts on console", because a release of this size is judged on how it serves its core players; he added that the company aims to reach players on every platform that makes sense over time. That is the closest thing to an official position, and it contains no date.
| Game | Console release | PC release | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTA IV | 29 April 2008 | 2 December 2008 | 7 months |
| GTA V | 17 September 2013 | 14 April 2015 | 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | 26 October 2018 | 5 November 2019 | 1 year and 10 days |
Applied to 19 November 2026, the same gaps would land in mid-June 2027, late November 2027 and mid-June 2028. That is arithmetic on Rockstar's past, not a forecast: Rockstar has given no window, and one report suggests it could be shorter this time.
On the Video Games Chronicle podcast of 4 September 2026, journalist Andy Robinson said there was "a bit of noise" in the industry about the PC version arriving sooner than many expect, and linked it to PS5 consoles likely being hard to find at launch. No date was given and Rockstar has not commented. Treat it as a report, not an announcement.
No. On 15 September 2026 a search of the Steam store for Grand Theft Auto VI returns no game page, and Rockstar has not named any PC store for it. Some key resellers already list a PC page, without a Rockstar release date behind it.
Rockstar has published none. It has not even given the install size on console, so the graphics cards, memory and 150 to 200 GB figures that circulate are estimates by the sites that publish them. Official requirements usually come with a PC announcement, and there has not been one.
No. Pre-orders are open on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Prices, the pre-order bonus and how to cancel are in our GTA 6 pre-order guide, what each console version offers on our GTA 6 consoles page, and the days left on the GTA 6 release date countdown.
Rockstar has not announced one. GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
Not at launch, and no PC version has been dated. Take-Two's chief executive said in May 2026 that Rockstar always starts on console. GTA IV, GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 all reached PC later, 7 to 19 months after consoles.
There is no GTA 6 page on Steam as of 15 September 2026, and Rockstar has not named a PC store for the game.

Rockstar has not explained it itself. Take-Two's chief executive told Bloomberg that Rockstar always starts on console, where a release of this size is judged on serving its core players.
