As reported by Insider Gaming on 27 August 2026, Rob Nelson described an internal playthrough of around 80 hours that included “some of the main campaign and some optional side quests”. Two things make it a poor guide to the story: it mixed story and side content, and it was played on an unfinished build. Headlines turning it into “an 80-hour story” go further than the quote.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar has not published a size either. Journalists who previewed the game estimate Vice City at about twice the size of Los Santos and the whole of Leonida at about three times the map of Red Dead Redemption 2, estimates rather than measurements, detailed on our GTA 6 map page. A bigger map adds travel and side activities more than story missions.
