Where to Buy GTA 4

Niko Bellic’s Liberty City is sold today as The Complete Edition: the 2008 game plus its two episodes, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, in one PC key. Steam sells it at 5.99 € until 1 October 2026 (normally 19.99 €), and a Rockstar key costs 7 to 10 €. We compare three key sellers and say what each one delivers.

GTA IV: The Complete Edition on Steam at 5.99 € until 1 October 2026 (normally 19.99 €), the lowest price on 28 September 2026. After the sale, the cheapest route is the Rockstar key at Eneba, 7.31 €. Steam keys cost more at every reseller: 23.44 € at Kinguin, 24.01 € at Eneba.

Neither link earns us anything: Steam and Eneba are cheaper than Instant Gaming, our affiliate, at 9.49 €, so we point to the lowest real price. Compare all sellers below.
★ Our verdict

Until 1 October, Steam itself is the cheapest. After that, take the Rockstar key. Steam sells The Complete Edition at 5.99 € until 1 October 2026, 70 per cent off its 19.99 € price and below every key on 28 September 2026. After the sale, the Rockstar Games Launcher key is the one that makes sense: 7.31 € at Eneba and 8.16 € at Kinguin, for the same game and the same two episodes. Instant Gaming, our affiliate, has its Rockstar key back in stock at 9.49 €, more than both. On Xbox, the 2008 game runs on One and Series through backward compatibility for 24.99 € on the Xbox Store.

Which Version Should You Buy?

On PC only one product exists today: The Complete Edition, which bundles Grand Theft Auto IV with both episodes. It comes as a Rockstar Games Launcher key or a Steam key, and outside sales the Steam version costs more than twice as much for the same files. The episodes are not sold on their own on PC any more. On Xbox, the original 2008 game is on the Xbox Store and runs on One and Series X|S through backward compatibility; the two episodes are a separate Xbox 360 title, Episodes from Liberty City.

The Complete Edition

Grand Theft Auto IV and its two episodes, in one PC key.
What you get PC, Rockstar or Steam
  • Grand Theft Auto IV Niko Bellic’s story, about 30 hours
  • The Lost and Damned Johnny Klebitz and The Lost MC, 2009
  • The Ballad of Gay Tony Luis Lopez and the Liberty City nightlife, 2009
  • Multiplayer modes the original modes remain, but the servers are quiet
  • Rockstar Games Launcher or Steam same game, the launcher is required in both cases
The only version worth buying on PC. The 2020 patch removed the songs whose licences expired and made the launcher mandatory; every key sold today is that version.

Where to Buy It, and for How Much

Until 1 October 2026, the cheapest way to get GTA IV is Steam itself: 5.99 €, 70 per cent off its 19.99 € price. The cheapest key is at Eneba, 7.31 € for the Rockstar Games Launcher version, then Kinguin at 8.16 € and Instant Gaming, our affiliate, back in stock at 9.49 €. A key

A code you redeem on your own Rockstar or Steam account. The game sits in your library for good. A Rockstar key and a Steam key unlock the same Complete Edition; only the launcher differs.

An account

The login details of a third-party account that owns the game. You play through it rather than owning it, the seller keeps the recovery email, and platform terms prohibit buying or transferring accounts. Cheap for a reason.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does GTA 4 cost in 2026?
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition costs 5.99 EUR on Steam until 1 October 2026, then 19.99 EUR again. For the Rockstar Games Launcher version, key sellers charge 7.31 EUR at Eneba, 8.16 EUR at Kinguin and 9.49 EUR at Instant Gaming, checked on 28 September 2026. The Steam key costs 23 to 24 EUR at the same sellers, more than Steam itself. On Xbox, the Xbox Store sells the 2008 game at 24.99 EUR.
Does The Complete Edition include The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony?
Yes. The Complete Edition is Grand Theft Auto IV plus both episodes, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, with their own stories, characters and multiplayer modes. On PC it is the only version sold; the episodes are no longer available on their own.
Rockstar Games Launcher key or Steam key?
Both unlock the same Complete Edition and both require the Rockstar Games Launcher to play. Outside sales the Steam version costs more than twice as much: 19.99 EUR on Steam itself and 23.44 EUR as a Steam key at Kinguin, against 7.31 EUR for the Rockstar key at Eneba. Until 1 October 2026, Steam sells it at 5.99 EUR, below every key, so Steam is the better buy until then. After that, unless you want everything in Steam, the Rockstar key is the sensible buy.
Can you play GTA 4 on Xbox Series X|S or PS5?
On Xbox, yes: the Xbox 360 version runs on Xbox One and Series X|S through backward compatibility, with Xbox One X and Series X enhancements, and is sold on the Xbox Store. The two episodes are a separate Xbox 360 title, Episodes from Liberty City. There is no PS4, PS5 or Switch version, and no key seller offers an Xbox key.
Is there a GTA 4 Remastered?
No. Rockstar has announced nothing. Instant Gaming lists a page called Grand Theft Auto IV Remastered for PC with no price and no date, the way it lists unannounced games to collect alerts. Until Rockstar says otherwise, The Complete Edition is the only GTA IV you can buy.
Is buying a GTA 4 key safe?
A key is redeemed on the Rockstar Games Launcher or on Steam and the game lands in your own library. Check the region on marketplace listings: the Kinguin key compared here is a Europe key, Eneba's is global. Kinguin's Xbox listings are accounts, not keys, which is why they are flagged.

Ratings published by each store and read on 28 September 2026; the stars put each score on a five-star scale. They are those stores’ figures, not GTAside reviews, and they rate the game itself, not the key.
