GTA Chinatown Wars is set in 2009 in the Liberty City of GTA IV, minus Alderney. Its map keeps four boroughs, Algonquin, Bohan, Broker and Dukes, in a simplified, scaled-down version of the city made for handheld consoles. Five safehouses open as the story goes on.
