The Combat MG Mk II is the strongest weapon in this class: about 435 damage per second, 47 per shot at 555 a minute, on a 100-round belt. Among the true submachine guns, the ones you can fire from the driver's seat, the Mini SMG leads at 650 rounds a minute.

Why the SMG Mk II Is No Longer First

This page used to put the SMG Mk II first, as the all-rounder. On the numbers it is mid-table: 25 per shot at 510 a minute measured, about 213 per second, behind the Mini SMG, the Machine Pistol and the Tactical SMG, and half the Combat MG Mk II. Its Mk II rounds are real, but their effect has not been measured.

SMG or Light Machine Gun?

The class mixes two kinds of weapon. The light machine guns, the MG, the Combat MG and its Mk II, hit for 40 to 47 per shot from belts of 54 to 200 rounds, and a driver cannot fire them. The submachine guns and machine pistols hit for 22 to 28 and fire faster, and every one of them can be used from the driver's seat, the Micro SMG included, the cheapest of them at $3,750.

Mk II and Vehicles

Two weapons here have a Mk II conversion, the SMG and the Combat MG, done at a weapon workshop in a Mobile Operations Center or an Avenger. Passengers can fire more than drivers: the light machine guns included, and in a pickup bed, a van or hanging off the side, any assault rifle.
