GTA IV Rankings
The fastest car in GTA IV's world is the Bullet GT from The Ballad of Gay Tony, at 163 km/h; in the base game, the Coquette, the Infernus, the Comet and the Turismo all top out at 160 km/h. For weapons, the Combat Shotgun rules the close-quarters fights the story keeps throwing at Niko. Two rankings cover Liberty City's cars and guns.
Cars: Everyone Hits the Same Ceiling
GTA IV caps its fastest cars at the same speed, so the ranking is decided by everything else. Four share the 160 km/h ceiling: the Coquette gets there first, at 4.2 seconds to 60, the Infernus a tenth behind it, then the Comet and the Turismo. Only one car breaks through, the Bullet GT added by The Ballad of Gay Tony, at 163 km/h.

Weight matters more here than in any other GTA. Cars lean, understeer and slide, so the Comet, the lightest of the group at 1,450 kg, often feels quicker through corners than its top speed suggests. The vehicles ranking lists all 110 cars with their top speed, acceleration and weight, so you can pick by the way you drive.
Weapons: Built for Fights Indoors
Liberty City's fights happen indoors more often than not, which is why the Combat Shotgun tops the weapons ranking: it clears a room in two shots. The Carbine Rifle, based on the M4, is the rifle to carry if you only carry one; the Assault Rifle hits harder but is harder to keep on target.
The episodes raise the stakes. The Ballad of Gay Tony adds the Advanced MG, which suppresses everything in front of it, and an automatic shotgun with explosive shells that makes the hardest missions almost easy.
