Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne keeps the first game's system: on PC, cheats are developer console commands that need the -developer parameter. The console key changed, though. It is ~, not F12.
Some lists online copy the first game's commands, such as getjackhammer or getm79, for weapons that are not in Max Payne 2: those are left out.
How to Open the Console on PC
Right-click your Max Payne 2 shortcut, open Properties and add -developer at the end of the Target field, with a space before it. Start the game from that shortcut and press ~ (the key under Esc) to open the console. F12, the key from the first game, does not open it.
General Commands
Type a command in the console and press Enter. How much health and how many painkillers gethealth and getpainkillers give could not be confirmed, so no number is stated here.

PlayStation 2 Code
The PS2 version has a single confirmed code. Enter it during play, then start a new game.
Start the game with the -developer parameter, added at the end of the shortcut's Target field, then press ~ in game. F12 is the console key of the first Max Payne, not of the sequel.
What is the god mode cheat in Max Payne 2?
Type god in the developer console to become invincible and mortal to switch it off. The coder command goes further and adds every weapon, ammo and health.
How do you unlock every level in Max Payne 2?
On PC, the getgraphicsnovelpart1, 2 and 3 commands unlock the three parts of the story. On PS2, enter the long Square, X, Left, Right sequence during play, then start a new game.
Does noclip work in Max Payne 2?
Noclip only circulates for Max Payne 2 in lists copied from the first game, so it is not listed here. The jump10, jump20 and jump30 commands are the confirmed movement cheats.
Are there Max Payne 2 cheats for Xbox?
Only one site lists an Xbox code, so none is confirmed. The PC console and the single PS2 code are the confirmed cheats.
