Bully Tips & Cheat Codes
Bully's cheat codes are button combinations held with L1, or LB on the Scholarship Edition, and they only work on a second controller. Plug one in, enter the code on pad two at any moment outside a cut scene, and the effect simply happens: nothing on screen confirms it.
Why Your Bully Cheat Does Nothing
Almost every report of a Bully cheat that refuses to work has the same cause: it was entered on the controller Jimmy is played with. The game only listens to controller two. Cut scenes ignore codes as well, so wait until you are back in control.
The second trap is the button names. The Scholarship Edition on Xbox and PC keeps the same effects but moves them to its own pad: hold LB instead of L1, and read Triangle as Y, Square as X, X as A and Circle as B. A PlayStation code typed letter for letter on an Xbox pad does nothing.
The Codes Worth Knowing First
Hold L1 on controller two and press Up four times for every weapon in the game. Up, Down, Up, Down gives infinite ammo, and entering it again switches it off; Up, Up on its own simply refills what you carry.
When a fight goes wrong, L1 with R2 three times restores Jimmy's health, though not the extra health a kiss gives him. L1 with Triangle, Square, Circle, X hands over a large sum of money.
The fun ones teach Jimmy moves he would otherwise have to earn: every gym grapple, or every hobo fighting move, neither of which appears on the stats screen. The all-clothes code, L1, L1, R1, L1, L1, L1, R1, R1, slows the game until you press a button, so do not panic when it seems to freeze.
