GTA: Vice City Stories Tips & Cheat Codes
Vice City Stories' cheats are button combinations entered during normal play, without pausing, and a message confirms each one. The same combinations work on PSP and PlayStation 2, with the handheld's single L and R standing in for the console's L1 and R1.
How to Enter Them
Stay in control of Victor, do not open the pause menu, and press the sequence on the directional buttons and the face and shoulder buttons. If the message does not appear, you were too slow or hit a wrong button: start the sequence again from the beginning.
There is one thing Vice City Stories does not have: an invincibility or infinite health code. The full health cheat is the closest you get, so learn it by heart and re-enter it whenever a fight turns bad.
The Codes Worth Knowing First
Up, Down, Left, Right, Circle, Circle, L, R refills Victor's health, and the same opening with Square, Square gives full armour; with X, X it adds $250,000. Three weapon sets arm him for any mission, each one starting with Left, Right.
When the police get involved, Up, Right, Triangle, Triangle, Down, Left, X, X means you are never wanted, and Up, L, Down, R, Left, L, Right, R drops a Rhino tank in front of you. For a quieter afternoon in 1984, the weather codes clear the skies or roll in the fog.
