Mike is the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto Advance (2004), set in Liberty City in 2000, one year before GTA III. A small-time criminal with no surname given, he hunts the killer of his partner Vinnie, only to learn Vinnie faked his death. The game has no voice acting.
Vinnie took Mike off the streets and became his mentor. Before the game, the pair had nearly enough money to leave Liberty City for good, but Vinnie convinces Mike to do more jobs for the Mafia first. More on Vinnie.
| Part | What happens |
|---|---|
Vinnie | After jobs such as Dirty Laundry and Fake IDs, Mike sees Vinnie's car explode in Getaway; the money seems lost with it |
8-Ball | Mike works for 8-Ball, starting with Twisted Metal, and is sent to the bartender Jonnie |
Jonnie | In Show the Money, Jonnie, in debt to King Courtney, is found murdered |
King Courtney | Courtney denies killing Jonnie and points Mike at Cisco of the Colombian Cartel |
Cisco and Asuka | In Fine Dining, Mike learns Courtney lied; he works for Cisco, then for Asuka Kasen, rescuing her niece Yuka in Kid's a Hero |
Truth Revealed | Cisco is found dead at his jet; Mike chases the killer, who turns out to be Vinnie, alive, and kills him |
The end | The Cartel blames Mike for Cisco's death, 8-Ball is arrested, Mike attacks King Courtney's compound in Assault Joint, and escapes in Freedom Flies |
In Freedom Flies, with the police closing in, Mike reaches the airport and leaves Liberty City in Cisco's plane. In the dialogue he only says he might settle in Colombia. Mike does not appear as a character in any other GTA game. His bosses include Asuka Kasen and 8-Ball from GTA III.
Vinnie is Mike's partner, mentor and first mission giver in Grand Theft Auto Advance (2004), and the game's main antagonist. He fakes his death with a car bomb, kills Jonnie and Cisco to hide the truth, and is killed by Mike in Truth Revealed.
Vinnie is a criminal tired of being an errand boy for the Mafia, and an associate of 8-Ball. He took Mike off the streets. He is not the same character as Vincenzo "Vinnie" Cilli of Liberty City Stories.
Vinnie gives Mike seven missions: Jump Start, Dirty Laundry, Hot Wheels, Ill-Gotten, Payback, Fake IDs and Getaway.
Not in Getaway: the car bomb in Callahan Point is staged. Vinnie then kills Jonnie and Cisco to keep Mike from the truth. In Truth Revealed, Mike chases the killer from the airport, and Vinnie steps out alive. He says he wanted all the money for himself, begs for his life, offers to split the money and warns Mike that every thug will come after him. Mike kills him.
To leave Liberty City with all the money without sharing it. More on Mike.
