Lamar's Story in GTA V
Lamar and Franklin went to Davis High together. In the story, Lamar is targeted by Harold "Stretch" Joseph, who sets him up several times. Trevor also becomes friends with him. Chop was Lamar's dog first: after the mission Chop, where the dog tracks down a Ballas member hiding in a rail yard, Lamar asks Franklin to keep him safe from the Ballas.
| Mission | What happens |
|---|---|
Franklin and Lamar | The two repo men race a 9F Cabrio and a Rapid GT back to Simeon's dealership |
Repossession | Jealous of Franklin's "Employee of the Month", Lamar drags him into repossessing a bike from the Vagos, and keeps it |
The Long Stretch | Lamar and Stretch take Franklin to a deal at a recycling plant that turns out to be a Ballas trap |
Hood Safari | Trevor joins a deal on Grove Street; the brick is drywall, a gunfight breaks out and the trio escapes on Seasharks. Unlocks the Sea Races |
Deep Inside and Pack Man | Devin Weston hires Lamar to steal the last car on his list, a Pegassi Monroe; the crew is never paid |
Lamar Down | Tanisha warns Franklin that Lamar has been set up at the Paleto Forest Sawmill, and the trio storms it to free him |
What Happens to Lamar?
Lamar survives all three endings. In The Third Way, he keeps watch outside the Grand Banks Steel Foundry, and Michael then kills Stretch at the BJ Smith Recreational Center on behalf of Lamar and Franklin. In The Time's Come, Franklin calls Lamar after Michael's death, gets his voicemail and leaves him an apology.
