How to Enter Cheats on PC
There is nothing to open first: type the code on the keyboard while you play, and a message confirms it. The pause menu does not accept cheats. The Definitive Edition for PC takes typed codes the same way, including its own four: DRIVEONWATER, TAXINITRO, DOTHEPIMPCHEAT and EXPANDDOME. Invisible cars, free aim while driving and gang members everywhere are gone from it, and any cheat disables achievements on the save you use it on.
Why Does the Same Cheat Have Two Codes?
Because San Andreas does not compare what you type to a list. It turns your keystrokes into a hash and compares the hash, so several different words trigger the same cheat. Rockstar never published a list, and players found the popular codes by running a dictionary against the game: that is where HESOYAM and AEZAKMI come from. The codes Rockstar actually intended surfaced later in the Android port and are the ones the Definitive Edition uses. Where the two differ, both are printed on the cards above.

Why do HESOYAM and INEEDSOMEHELP both work?
San Andreas hashes what you type rather than matching it against a list, so more than one word can produce the same result. INEEDSOMEHELP is the code Rockstar intended, found in the Android port and used by the Definitive Edition. HESOYAM was discovered by running a dictionary against the game and became the one everybody knows.
Do PC cheats work in the San Andreas Definitive Edition?
