GTA Vice City Hidden Packages: Rewards and How to Find Them
GTA Vice City has 100 hidden packages, green statues spread across the map. Each one pays $100, every ten unlock a free weapon or vehicle, and the 100th adds $100,000 and a Hunter attack helicopter. The weapons appear at three safehouses, the Ocean View Hotel, the Vercetti Estate and the Hyman Condo, so collecting packages gives you free heavy weapons for the rest of the game.

Weapon rewards spawn permanently at all three safehouses, so you can come back for free weapons and ammo at any time. Collecting all 100 gives $110,000 in total: $10,000 from the packages themselves and the $100,000 bonus.
Where Do the Military Vehicles Spawn?
The Sea Sparrow, a helicopter with a minigun that can land on water, appears behind the Vercetti Estate on Starfish Island at 80 packages. The Rhino tank at 90 and the Hunter at 100 appear inside Fort Baxter Air Base, north of Escobar International Airport. Once you have both finished the story with Keep Your Friends Close... and collected all 100 packages, a Hunter also appears on the helipad in Ocean Beach.
How to Collect Hidden Packages
Hidden packages look like spinning green statues. You collect them by walking over them: they cannot be picked up from inside a vehicle. 50 of the 100 are on Vice City Beach, the island open from the start, but a few need a boat or a helicopter to reach, such as the ones on rooftops and small islands.

Do Hidden Packages Count for 100% Completion?
Yes. Collecting all 100 hidden packages is one of the requirements for 100% completion in GTA Vice City, along with the story, whose missions are listed on our story missions page.
What Is Inside the Packages?
The statues hide a white powder: after the mission Rub Out, a broken package appears on the bar in Tommy's room at the Ocean View Hotel. They are a nod to "Milk Run", an episode of Miami Vice's first season where similar statues are used to smuggle cocaine.
