All 16 Legendary Animals in Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 has 16 legendary animals. Eleven open up in Chapter 2, after the mission Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego; the Bullgator waits for That's Murfree Country, the Panther for rank 9 of the Master Hunter challenges, and three in New Austin for the Epilogue. Each one leaves a perfect pelt for the Trapper's outfits and a part the Fence turns into a talisman or a trinket. All 16 are below with the exact place, the outfit pieces and the Fence item.

Trapper prices are for each piece, on top of the pelt. Two Fence prices vary slightly: the Coyote Fang Trinket ($21.25 or $21.50) and the Panther's Eye Trinket ($24.50 or $25.00).
How Do You Hunt a Legendary Animal?
Entering an animal's territory brings up a prompt. From there, three sets of clues, found with Eagle Eye, lead to the animal itself, and once found it is marked on the map. A legendary animal never respawns and always gives a perfect pelt, so one clean kill is all it takes. The pelt goes to the Trapper for the outfit pieces, and the claw, tooth or antler to a Fence.
The Four Talismans and Twelve Trinkets
The four talismans come from the biggest animals and slow the drain of your cores: the Bear Claw Talisman (Bharati Grizzly Bear), health core drains 10% slower; the Boar Tusk Talisman (Boar), horse health and stamina cores drain 10% slower; the Bison Horn Talisman (White Bison), stamina core drains 10% slower; the Alligator Tooth Talisman (Bullgator), Dead Eye core drains 10% slower. The twelve trinkets give smaller bonuses, from 10 per cent more money looted, with the Elk Antler Trinket, to carcasses that do not spoil on your horse, with the Pronghorn Horn Trinket.
How Many Legendary Fish Are There?
Thirteen, marked on the map Jeremy Gill hands over in the Stranger mission A Fisher of Fish, and needed for 100 per cent. Some guides count fourteen, adding the Channel Catfish caught at the end of that mission.
