Red Dead Redemption 2 Weapons: Best Guns, Prices and Where to Get Them
On the confirmed stat bars, the Springfield Rifle has the highest damage in Red Dead Redemption 2, 3.2 out of 4, the Carcano Rifle reaches furthest, 3.3, and the Rolling Block Rifle is the most accurate, 3.4; among handguns, the Double-Action Revolver and the Semi-Automatic Pistol fire fastest, 3.3. Below, 31 story-mode weapons with their gunsmith price and where to get each one, and the unique guns you can miss for good.
How to Read the Stats
The game rates each weapon on five bars out of 4: damage, range, fire rate, accuracy and reload speed, at default condition. They move with a gun's condition and your familiarity with it, which is why guides rarely agree to the decimal. 4 weapons have all five figures confirmed; a blank cell means the value could not be confirmed.

The Unique Weapons You Can Miss
Unique weapons are never sold. Four come from the duels of the Stranger mission The Noblest of Men, and a Woman, one per legendary gunslinger: Granger's Revolver, Flaco's Revolver, Calloway's Revolver and Midnight's Pistol, and each is lost if you leave the body. The Rare Shotgun is taken from the Hermit north of Annesburg, once. The Rare Rolling Block Rifle drops from the sniper in the barn at the end of Magicians for Sport, in Chapter 3. Algernon's Revolver rewards the Stranger mission Duchesses and Other Animals, Otis Miller's Revolver is an Epilogue treasure in Cholla Springs, and Micah's Revolver lies on Mount Hagen after the last mission.
Red Dead Online Exclusive Weapons
Three firearms exist only in Red Dead Online: the Navy Revolver, Lowry's Revolver and the Elephant Rifle. The two revolvers share the same damage and reload bars; Lowry's Revolver has a little more range and the best accuracy of the three, 3.2 out of 4. The Elephant Rifle costs $580; its bars are not listed because they could not be confirmed.
| Weapon | Price | Damage | Range | Fire rate | Accuracy | Reload |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Navy Revolver | $275 | 2.1 | 2.0 | 2.9 | 2.9 | 2.0 |
Lowry's Revolver | Not sold | 2.1 | 2.2 | 2.9 | 3.2 | 2.0 |
Elephant Rifle | $580 |
Bars out of 4 (a score out of 100 divided by 25 gives the same result). The Evans Repeater is not an online exclusive: it is sold in story mode too.
Weapons Left Off This List
The LeMat Revolver is left out because its story-mode availability could not be confirmed. The High Roller revolver and the Evans Repeater rest on one reference each. The Navy Revolver, the Elephant Rifle and Lowry's Revolver belong to Red Dead Online only and have their own section above.
